Recipe For Peppermint Chocolate Bars

Substances 1/2 cup butter (no substitutes) 2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate 2 eggs 1 cup sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1/2 cup all-goal flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts FROSTING: 1/4 cup butter (no substitutes), softened 2 cups confectioners' sugar 1 teaspoon peppermint extract 3 tablespoons whipping cream TOPPING: 1 (1 ounce) square semisweet chocolate 1 tablespoon butter (no substitutes) Directions In a microwave or double boiler, melt butter and chocolate interesting marginally. In a mixing bowl, conquer the eggs, sugar and vanilla. Incorporate the chocolate mixture and blend properly. Merge flour and salt progressively incorporate to chocolate mixture. Stir in nuts. Unfold into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 16-20 minutes or until finally a toothpick inserted around the heart will come out clear. Interesting on a wire rack. In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and extract. Incorporate adequate cream until finally frosting reaches spreading consistency. Frost cooled bars. Melt chocolate and butter drizzle above frosting. Lower into bars.
